Amazon has just surpassed Google’s parent company Alphabet in market value. Amazon stock rose 2.7 percent on Tuesday, capping off with a value of about $763 billion. This makes Amazon the second-most valuable public company in the US, Apple being the first with a whopping market value of $892 billion.

Meanwhile, Alphabet has fluctuated in the stock market and had stayed flat as Amazon vaulted, leaving the e-commerce company with a market capitalization of $762.6 billion.

Jeff Bezos’ company is clearly having a great 2018 so far, as their stock has risen “nearly 29 percent” since January.
