Stockholm, Sweden - June, 25th, 2015: Volkswagen T6 Caravelle stopped on the parking before the test drives at international press launch. Volkswagen T6 is powered by the 2.0-litre diesel engine or 2.0-litre pertol engine. This car is one of the most popular commercial vehicle in Europe.

Apple has signed a deal with Volkswagen to use their vehicles as driverless employee shuttles. First reported by The New York Times, Volkswagen will help turn their new T6 Transporter vans into autonomous shuttles. Due to the partnership, Apple has reportedly ended talks with other automakers such as Mercedes-Benz and BMW.

The NYT also says that the project is likely facing problems as it is behind schedule and is “consuming nearly all of the Apple car team’s attention,”

Earlier this month, Apple had expanded their fleet of registered autonomous vehicles to 55, becoming the second-largest in the state of California.
