After much clamor from their users (250 million monthly), Imgur has let up and is finally adding videos to their platform. In a blog post they announced, “Imgur’s mission is to surface the world’s most entertaining content, and we’re excited to introduce short-form video to our platform. This is a monumental shift for our future, and it furthers our commitment to becoming the world’s greatest community powered entertainment destination.”

Users can now upload, edit, and share videos up to 30 seconds long that will include controls such as skip, pause and replay. Imgur also says that all uploaded videos will be muted by default. Users also have the option to “include, or remove, sound from your post, have multiple videos in one post, or mix with images and GIFs.”

For now, the new feature is currently available on iOS but Imgur says it will arrive on other platforms soon.
