Facebook’s picture-sharing app finally adds a new feature that will let their users mute notifications from their unwanted friends without unfollowing them.
You’ll still able to see a post from the muted account’s whenever they have tagged you or commented in any of your posts on instagram. To mute an account, you can tap the menu next to the account’s handle and choose ‘Mute Posts’
According to their spokeperson, Instagram finally added this new feature to make your feed more personalized and also because of the users’ demands for “managing complex social dynamics”.
Instagram also added that it might take a few weeks before it shows up on your device.
