Samsung produces the first new 4 – terabit SSD

Samsung officially announced the mass production of its first 4TB SSDs which can help devices to have more storage.

The upcoming Solid State Drives (SSDs) are said to be the first to use 4-bit V-NAND memory technology. It has 3.94″ x 2.75″ x 0.27″ quad-level cells (QLC) that packs more memory in the same storage which is similar to the existing 3-bit cells. The key features of 4TB SS have sequential read speed up to 540 MB per second while the sequential write speed up to 520 MB per second and the performance of the said SSD is based on a system that has been used. The random read speed has 4KB up to 98,000 IOPS random read while the random write speed has also 4KB up to 90,000 IOPS random write. It is supported by Y with RAID controller.

The company has not yet confirmed the exact price for the product but the warranty has limited to five years or 300TBW.
