Snapcash will stop its service next month

Snapchat plans to end the peer-to-peer payment feature which is the Snapcash with the support of Square.

Snapcash is an online method of payment or a way for people to send money where Snapchat users can access. It was introduced four years ago and many competitors have also the same service.

According to TechCruch, Snapchat confirmed the termination of its Snapcash feature as of August 30. The company also added “Snapcash was our first product created in partnership with another company – Square. We’re thankful for all the Snapchatters who used Snapcash for the last four years and for Square’s partnership!”

The company has not yet gives further information about the reasons why they are discontinuing the feature but there was a rumored about a Snapchatter who is trying to send erotic images to people who will pay her for $10 through Snapcash. Users will notify in-app and through the website soon.
