With the release of the OPPO Pad last year, OPPO entered the tablet market. The company later released another gadget in the OPPO Pad Air category. Recently, it has come to light that the Chinese business is planning to debut another tablet, the OPPO Pad 2. As the name suggests, the tablet will be a direct successor to last year’s OPPO Pad.

With an operating system of Android 13, the OPPO Pad 2 has an 8-core processor with a base frequency of 1.80 GHz. Nothing is known for sure yet, but rumours and sightings lead one to believe that it’s supposed to have a storage capacity of 7.34GB.

The OPPO Pad 2 has been sighted on the testing platform Geekbench ahead of its introduction, revealing some of the tablet’s important characteristics. Surprisingly, the specifications appear to be similar to those of the OnePlus Pad. Based on the ad, the smartphone would be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU.

While the precise model has not been revealed, it is most likely a Snapdragon 888. In Geekbench 6, the gadget managed to earn 1,160 points in the single-core test and 3,186 in the multi-core test.

The listing also indicates that the OPPO Pad 2 will ship with the Android 13 operating system pre-installed, most likely with the ColorOS customized UI on top. The device tested on the platform came with 8 GB of RAM and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. Earlier leaks about the tablet indicated an 11-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2800 x 2000 pixels, a refresh rate of 144 Hz, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision support. It is also touted to be powered by a 9,500mAh battery that offers 67 W fast charging.

While no official release date has been announced, the OPPO Pad 2 is expected to join the OPPO Find X6 series of smartphones at the end of March.
