This Monday the two smartphone giants will face off for the third time in court for another round over design patents once again.  Samsung apparently breached Apple’s patent that made Apple to file a lawsuit against Samsung in 2011 and lead them to the Supreme Court in 2016 and back to lower court after.

Apple claims that Samsung should pay the damage it causes to their company and Apple wants to collect Samsung’s profit made from the infringed patents. Meanwhile, Samsung insists that the parts infringed were just minor pieces of the phone.

Beforehand, Samsung paid $548 million and $399 million on two separate occasions based on the trial decision. Apple disagrees, and says Samsung should pay a penalty based on the worth of the whole device and not only for the worth of Samsung phone.
