Apple will reveal new AI features for Siri during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) keynote session. Siri will soon control several native Apple apps and respond to user commands more efficiently. Apple is making Siri understand commands the way people normally speak. Instead of direct commands like “show pictures of my dog,” users can say, “I’m feeling nostalgic” or “I want to make a blog.” Siri will understand and respond appropriately.

New AI Features

Several native Apple apps will get updates, allowing Siri to perform various tasks. These apps include Books, Calendar, Camera, Contacts, Files, Freeform, Generative Playground (internal), Keynote, Mail, Magnifier, News, Notes, Photos, Reminders, Safari, Stocks, System Settings, and Voice Memos.

Siri’s New Tasks in Books and Camera Apps

With the AI upgrade, Siri can perform new tasks in the Books app. Users can ask Siri to open a specific book or section, change book themes, flip pages, and pause audiobooks. Siri will also help users search for categories in the Book Store and show finished books, downloaded books, and PDF documents. Using the Camera app will also become easier with Siri’s new AI capabilities. Siri can change photography modes, set a timer, and switch between the front and rear cameras. This feature will help users take group photos more conveniently.

Siri’s Smart Replies and Email Management

Reports highlight that Siri will get a Smart Replies feature to quickly reply to emails. Siri will also schedule email replies, forward emails, undo send, save and delete drafts, block senders, mark emails as junk, unsubscribe from newsletters, summarize emails or threads, and mute or delete emails.

The AI-powered features aim to make Siri more useful and intuitive. By understanding natural language and performing tasks across different apps, Siri will become a more powerful virtual assistant. These updates will enhance the overall user experience, making interactions with Apple devices more seamless and efficient.
