The new 13-inch MacBook Pro with the apple’s M2 chip will be available to order starting Friday, June 17 at 5 a.m. Pacific Time, Apple said today. Customer deliveries and in-store availability will begin on Friday, June 24th, according to Apple. The new 13-inch MacBook Pro was supposed to be released in July, but orders are already coming in ahead of schedule. Customers will be able to buy through Apple.com, the Apple Store app, or through a limited number of Apple Authorised Resellers. The new 13-inch MacBook Pro has the same design as the previous generation, including the Touch Bar, with the inclusion of the M2 processor being the sole noteworthy difference.

In the United States, the price starts at $1,299, with silver and space grey color choices. In comparison to the M1 processor, Apple claims the M2 chip features an 18% faster CPU, a 35% faster GPU, and a 40% faster Neural Engine. The 13-inch MacBook Pro may be configured with up to 24GB of unified memory using the M2 processor, but the M1 chip can only handle 16GB of memory. Up to 2TB of SSD storage is also available for the notebook. Apple did not specify an order date for the new MacBook Air with the M2 processor, which is still listed on Apple’s website as “available next month.
