Hadio Kojima’s sports studio has published a response after the exit of fake publications on social media and news agencies showing Kojima as the murderer of former Prime Minister Japan Sinzo Abe. “It strongly condemns the spread of fake news and rumors that report false information” and “in some cases, he is doing this legal action,” the Hideo Kojima Productions Twit said. On Friday, Homo shot Abe during his speech in a political campaign.

Police arrested the gunman at the scene, who they identified as 41-year-old Tetsuya Yamagami. Shortly after the incident, an internet troll on 4chan posted a racist image that linked Kojima’s face to that of the gunman (via PCGamer ). Another user responded with three more images of Hideo Kojima, showing the Metal Gear and Death Stranding designer wearing a Soviet helmet, as well as photos of Argentine revolutionary Che Guevara. French comedian Georges Jordito shared the images as part of a since-deleted satirical Twitter post in which he claimed Japanese soccer star Keisuke Honda was to blame. However, the intense law -a syncer politician, linked to the country’s nationalist movement, perceived it seriously and thickened Kojim’s photos: “Murder far.” According to Vice, the images were made by Greek and Iranian news agencies, which were abused in the images of the murder.
