God Of war is a game franchise created by David Jaffe And sony Studios, This action adventure Game was first released on November 10th 2009 and Was a big hit instantly.
The gaming community wasn’t big at that time, But in this period, Gaming is considered a better job in some cases. Coming back to the topic, Sony released several sequels to the game and all of them were major hits. On November 9th 2022 Sony released one of the most awaited games in the gaming community- GOD OF WAR RAGNAROK.
The Game sold 5.1 Million Copies in its 1 week making it the top most trending game of the week. This instant success made everyone think that the game will win the game of the year and it seems like it but that’s not the case. You see when the list came out,
It wasn’t surprising to many people that ELDEN RING won the game of the year. Some people even stated that they knew the god of war wasn’t gonna be the game of the year and let’s see why is that.
The first problem was the lack of replay value, Many Games provide a replay feature and u can play that same story or a quest over and over again endlessly but what the god of war does is After completing the plot, gamers will have no reason to return to the game.
The second Flaw is diversity, Even tho god of war provides many different combos and unique attacks styles, there are only 3 weapons in the game- axe, blade and spear and u can create only a few combos with each weapon and the joy lasts only for a while and then makes it boring to play while taking other games as an example like- Genshin Impact which also provides 5 types of weapons but has a large variety of tiers, weapon usage and other stuff which makes it more fun to play.
Coming to the Third Flaw, a lack of creativity god of war is out in the market for so long and people have played it since their childhood. The idea behind the god of war concept was amazing but when one thing is continued over and over again, people loose interest in it and due to the very similar game experience in both god of war and Ragnarok, people didn’t feel much of a joy.
Well, every game has some flaw and no game is perfect or can satisfy every gamer’s experience the game itself is good and one should try it out.
