Twitter for Android is working to bring out a plethora of new features, which include the ability to add both videos and pictures in the same tweet. Some of the features which are under work are statuses, awards and pronouns page.

According to a recent report, Twitter is testing out a new feature known as the ‘Twitter circle’. Using this feature, the users will be able to handpick a small mass of around 150 people with whom they can share their tweets. It is somewhat similar to Instagram’s ‘Close friends’ feature where the user can choose to display their stories to only a selected number of people.

As per 9to5Google contributor Dylan Roussel, there are a lot of new features which are in the works. And one of them is Statuses. If this feature comes into play, there will be a status added to the tweets and the user’s profile will also display a status.

Roussel added that Twitter is also working on an Awards feature, using which users will be able to give an award to a tweet. You will also be able to see the number of awards a tweet has received. Two buttons called Join and Discover will be joining as well aimed at profile/tweet discovery.

As of now, users can only tweet up to 4 photos or a single video. But now the microblogging platform is working to add the possibility of tweeting both pictures and videos in a single tweet.

The microblogging platform is apparently also working on adding an edit feature to it. It seems that various aspects of this feature have been leaked via a series of alleged images shared by a tipster. Along with displaying the new interface and the icons on the web version of Twitter, these images also showcase some unfinished options like the Edit History. It is expected that both the iOS and Android versions will have a similar layout. However, Twitter is yet to officially announce this feature.
