YouTube Music is reportedly introducing a new feature that will let users share their personal radio with others. This new feature will allow others to add the user’s personal radio to their playlists, enhancing the platform’s social capabilities. The personal radio feature has been part of the app for some time. It refreshes daily based on the user’s played songs. It is still unclear if the feature is currently in beta or if it will slowly roll out to everyone.

Share personal radio with others using YouTube Music

Reddit user Rolan_Albarico first spotted this feature, sharing his experience online. He said in a post, “Just got a public playlist that’s sharable and updates on real time based on what I usually listen to.” This playlist, labeled as personal radio on YouTube Music, is generated from the songs users listen to the most or show a preference for. An algorithm carefully monitors in-app activity and song-listening behavior to create this dynamic playlist of most-preferred songs. Users can check their personal radio by navigating to Profile > Your channel, and then scrolling down to the section where their top four stats are displayed.

Rolan_Albarico also shared a link to his sharable personal radio. This further explained how it works. The description of this radio reads, “Made for sharing. Based on their recent music and always updating.” Google’s support page confirms that this playlist updates daily. This keeps the selection fresh and reflective of the user’s latest listening habits. This new feature enhances the social experience on YouTube Music. Overall it makes it easier to share and discover personalized content, thus enriching user interaction on the platform.
