WhatsApp’s addicts may soon be capable to edit text messages once they’ve been sent out earlier. WhatsApp is working on a solution to this with a new edit characteristic.

A new report by “WABetaInfo” suggests that the edit message feature may soon come to beta performances of the app. The point will also bring Facebook-commanded WhatsApp up to speed with Telegram, which earlier offers users the capability to edit messages once they’re sent.
As per multiple reports, WhatsApp started working on the feature five years ago , but the plan was scrapped thereafter on. Now, the instant messaging platform WhatsApp is working on the edit message button again.

Will You Be Capable To Tell If Messages Have Been Edited ?

A large concern people talk about when any social platform offers the capability to change what you have sent/ posted is the consciousness aspect. Will people be able to tell that a particular message has been edited and is not what was initially sent? For WhatsApp, the answer seems to be a straight ‘ No ’. The report also mentioned that details about the time-window people will get to edit a message that has previously been sent is “ unknown at the moment”. The report adds that the edit button will first make it to the iOS and Desktop beta builds. Yet, we wish that it would come to Android beta builds also later on. Either way, it will probably be relatively some time before we see the feature on stable versions.

Presently, if a WhatsApp user sends a message with a mistake, they’ve only two options to amend it. They can either shoot out a correct communication and ask users to ignore the one with the error, or they can cancel the wrong message and send out a new one. Either way, an alternate, new message must be sent.
