HTC plans to have a blockchain-powered smartphone

Last May, HTC revealed that they are working on Exodus, a blockchain-powered smartphone.

According to TechCrunch, Exodus will be the “world’s first blockchain phone”. The upcoming device will have its wallet and supported by CrytoKitties, a virtual game in which users can purchase, breed, and sell various kinds of virtual cats. Starting with the HTC’s handset U12+, the virtual game will be available. The company added that this is the perfect opportunity for the user to start owning their digital identity and Exodus is the starting place because it is the most personal device. The user can also originate their data to the device.

According to The Verge, HTC announced that after Q3 the new smartphone will release and people can expect the phone around the end of year 2018. The company will give more information about Exodus in the next few months.
