Google Fiber is part of Alphabet Inc.’s Access division. It promises fibre-to-the-premises service in the US, bringing IPTV and broadband Internet to modest but steadily growing number of locations. Through its deployment of fibre-optic technology, Google Fiber offers internet speeds up to 1Gbps.

The recent Google news talks about rolling out of 5Giga internet in Kansas City, West Des Moines & all Utah cities, in the United States of America. This 5Gig plan offered by Google is designed to cater to the needs of heavy internet users – professionals, workspaces, people working with the cloud and anything which calls for high data usage. Google Fibre is a high-speed internet service provided by Google, available in selective cities across the USA. There was a lot of interest among users even before Google Fiber asked for reliable testers to try out its gigabit high-speed internet service in October 2022. Now, Kansas City, West Des Moines, and all of the cities in Utah are expecting to receive Google’s 5 Giga internet services. Users get equal speeds for uploading and downloading with Google Fiber’s 5 Gbps service.  As per Google, the high-speed 5 Gig service costs USD 125 per month and includes a Wi-Fi 6 Google Fiber Multi-Gig router, up to two mesh extenders, and professional installation service.

The 5 Gig plan also comes with 1 TB of free Google cloud storage. Google is offering 1-gigabyte and 2-gigabyte plans for 70 and 100 dollars per month, respectively. There are no data limits, annual commitments, or data caps with any of the plans.

When Google Fiber is available, your home will be properly equipped for even faster speeds because the installation of the service also includes an upgraded 10 Gig Fiber jack. As per Google, it is crucial for every device to have access to faster speeds and more bandwidth as homes become smarter, enabling every device to be streaming-ready. In the near future, Google Fiber services would be made available in a number of cities, such as Mesa, Chandler, Lakewood, Westminster, Des Moines, and Omaha. Users may get a monthly internet bill discount of up to USD 30 through the FCC’s Affordable Connectivity Program. Highspeed internet had already named Google Fiber the nation’s fastest Internet service provider for 2022.
