Adobe introduces Firefly Image 3 at the MAX conference in London which is a new image generation model and is an evolution of its generative AI model.

Features of Firefly Image 3

Firefly Image 3 aims to bring about significant improvements regarding image, quality, detail and control over the process of generation. Firefly Image 3 AI model is not capable of producing photorealistic images that look borderline real. These images have incredible and accurate lighting ,sharp details ,proper positioning of objects and people, and better handling of text.

One of the most significant features of Firefly Image 3 is auto-stylisation that is powered by a custom- style engine. This allows the new image generation model to apply variety of colours, styles, poses and backgrounds to the image generated by AI. Creatives get much more control and personalisation over the look and feel of the picture through this AI generated feature.

Something that is getting a big boost as well are the Structure Reference and Style Reference tools. New images are generated by Structure Reference. These new images perfectly match with the layout and composition of the reference image. This is how you can avoid the trial-and-error system of trying to craft the ideal text prompt. On the other hand, Style Reference applies your desired artistic style with higher fidelity.

When these two features are combined, you can essentially remix existing images and create completely new artistic competitions depending on the structure and aesthetic specified by you. Adobe says that this will enable faster and smoother creative ideation and exploration.

Where is Firefly Image 3 being launched?

Firefly Image 3 is being launched in beta through the web app of Adobe. Integration with apps like Photoshop, InDesign, illustrator and Express will soon be available. Both free and paid plans are available that include usage credits for AI generation.
