On Monday, Airtel announced the launch of new international roaming data plans with in- flight connectivity facilities, primarily meant for international travellers. The new tariff plan starting at Rs. 133 per day will offer additional benefits like 24×7 contact centre support, more data and in- flight connectivity facilities.
The new tariff plan will be available for 184 countries all across the world. It will let users to travel across several countries with just a single international roaming pack. Users can subscribe to these data plans through the Thanks app. These plans will be activated once it is recharged and the users reach a destination.
Structure of the new tariff plans launched by Airtel
Airtel’s cheapest international plan starts at Rs. 195. It will be valid for a day with 250 MB data benefits, 100 minutes call benefits( only to India, both incoming and outgoing) and 100 SMS benefits. There is another plan for Rs. 295 which will again be valid for a day with 500 MB data benefits, 100 minutes call benefits and 100 SMS benefits. The third plan costs Rs. 595 with 1 GB data benefits.
If you are looking for an international plan with an extended validity, you can choose the one for Rs. 2997 which will be valid for 365 days with 2 GB of data for the entire duration along with 100 minutes of free calls, and 20 SMS. The other plan is at Rs. 2998 which is valid for only 30 days but with 5 GB data benefits and 200 minutes of free outgoing call.
