Meta’s WhatsApp has been on the roll with frequent updates and their latest conjuration of Beta features for the testers to criticize. Meta has been tirelessly trying to make WhatsApp a better, safer, and more user-friendly all-around social media platform and connector. Recently, on the Beta channel, WhatsApp for Android is currently testing an iOS-style bottom navigation bar. The most recent v2.23.11.6 release, as noticed by WABetaInfo, gives the messenger a new home screen that adopts the bottom navigation bar from the iPhone.

The software eliminates the ability to navigate between tabs using swipe motions as the tab selections move to the bottom. It’s unclear whether the designers will keep testing the new user interface or decide to prevent it from receiving unfavourable customer input. When installing the most recent version of WhatsApp beta for Android via the Google Play Store, more beta testers are progressively gaining access to this updated layout with a bottom navigation bar.

If WhatsApp keeps up its current pace, the new look will soon be seen on more accounts. The report also mentioned that some users have encountered problems after installing the most recent release, such as the programme crashing. One should simply roll back to an earlier version of WhatsApp if they are experiencing the same issue, or wait until the next build or hotfix update is released.

To summarize – WhatsApp is testing a new navigation bar in its beta channel that is similar to the one used by iOS. The updated navigation bar is located at the bottom of the screen and replaces the traditional top bar. It is part of the latest v2.23.11.6 build and includes a refreshed home screen and tab options that shift to the bottom of the screen.
