Apple adds FaceTime group chats with up to 32 participants to iOS 12

Apple announces the launch of FaceTime group chats that consist up to 32 users. Participants who speak will be highlighted in the tiles.

In addition, the app added filter effects for the users, Animoji as well as the new Memoji during the livestream.

Users are able to choose friends in mid-conversation to join on the video call chatting. FaceTime has given two options which participants are allowed to choose, either audio voice or video chat. Users can replace or move the tile anywhere.

FaceTime group video call will be available on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
