Apple is now testing out Siri to decline your phone calls, according to a new patent filed by the company. First spotted by AppleInsider, the patent details Siri declining and providing ‘smart replies’ to the caller whenever the user is driving or preoccupied.
The patent states that Siri can analyze and come up with an appropriate response depending on the caller and the user’s current situation. The patents also shows Siri providing replies that include your location if it is important for the caller to know, it could be used if you’re running late, for example.
Most messaging platforms currently provide preempted responses to mostly texts and even phone calls.
