At the 2022 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), Apple unveiled iOS 16. Apple reveals lots of new widgets, features for iPhones. The iOS 16 update will be available later this year, along with a redesigned lock screen and notifications, according to the company.
A big noticeable change in Apple’s iOS 16 for lockscreen
The most noticeable change in iOS 16 is the redesigned lock screen, which includes a variety of layouts and optimizations. There are template options that allow users to select different hues and font styles. Besides this, widgets can be made available without having to unlock the iPhone.
In addition to other updates, iOS 16 will include a ‘Photo Shuffle’ mode that will enables users to change their lock screen on the go. A new wallpaper function will also allow users to choose dynamic wallpapers that will adapt based on the time and live weather changes.

1. Revamped notification on lock screen:
Another significant update includes redesigned notifications. Notifications will now use bolder fonts to improve visibility. However, the lock screen notification can be accessed with one hand by scrolling up from the bottom of the screen.
2. Improved dictation feature, live text etc.:
Punctuation and emojis will be automatically added by using updated dictation feature will be used. While using the dictation feature, the latest update will automatically add punctuation and emojis.
The Live text feature will be expanded to include video. Users can interact with the message by pausing the video at any point. Also, the Live text will allow for quick translation.
Visual Look Up in iOS 16 has just been updated. Users can now press and hold on a subject to remove it from the picture and place it in other apps like Messages. However, Visual Look Up can also be used to recognise plants, insects, birds, and other animals in images or videos.
Apple might reveal more new widgets and new features in upcoming months.
