CES 2019: Western Digital launches a new SSD drive for travelers

At CES 2019, Western Digital (WD) announced its new SSD drive with a rubber protective bumper outside the drive to prevent from damage or scratch.

The new Western Digital solid state drive, My Passport Go has a dimension of 95mm x 67mm x 10mm. The My Passport Go has a drop-resistant up to 2 meters and a built-in cable for the convenience. The drive also includes a shock-absorbing rubber bumper and no moving parts. The pocket-sized drive has a storage of 500GB and 1TB options. The drive will deliver SSD performance with more than 2.5 times faster than other portable hard drives. It delivers up to 400MB/s SSD performance. The company created software for the WD backup which is automatically backup the files. It is compatible for both Mac computer and desktops.  The package includes WD Drives Utilities software and a quick small guide.

WD has not yet announced the pricing of the My Passport Go but it is now available on Amazon with a starting price of $89.99 for 500GB model and $169.99 for the 1TB model.
