Google has launched the brand new Chromecast along with the launch of their Google TV in India. This will now enable users to find movies, shows, and more from various apps and subscriptions (including Apple TV, Disney+ Hotstar, MX Player, Netflix, Prime Video, Voot, YouTube, and Zee5) at one place with Google TV support.

The Chromecast with Google TV is small and thin, and it can be connected to the TV’s HDMI port. Google also claims that the Chromecast provides crystal clear video streaming in up to 4K HDR at up to 60 frames per second.  It also supports Dolby Vision and passes Dolby audio content through HDMI.

Chromecast with Google TV comes with a voice remote that the company claims is comfortable to hold and simple to use. It includes a dedicated Google Assistant button that allows users to use their voice to find something to watch, answer everyday questions like “How’s the weather?” or play their favorite track of their artist on Spotify or other music apps. Users can also use Google Assistant to control their smart home lights to set the mood. The voice remote also has buttons for popular streaming services such as YouTube and Netflix.

You also get Google TV’s “For You” tab that gives everyone personalised watch suggestions from their subscriptions based on what they like to watch. You can also bookmark movies and shows that you would like to watch later with Google TV. Users also get the option to add to their Watchlist from their phone or laptop automatically on the TV.

You also get the YouTube Premium trials subscription when you purchase the Chromecast andGoogle TV, which offers an ad-free experience.

Chromecast with Google TV will be available for Rs 6,399 on Flipkart and soon in other retail outlets.
