The huge trend and sales of electric vehicles in India have prompted manufacturers to plan a number of vehicle launches. We might see a lot many EVs in future. Here is a list of expected electric cars we might see in India.

Electric cars are not only smart and modern, but they also provide numerous reasons to shift from fossil fuel-powered vehicles. Somehow, the Indian EV market has grown exponentially in recent years. It owes to an ever-expanding ecosystem, government initiatives, and subsidies to both end consumers and manufacturers.

1. Tata Altroz Electric car

Tata Motors is at the forefront of India’s electric vehicle market. The Tata Nexon EV has been a huge success, and a new version with increased range and overall developments is on the way. The Tata Altroz might get a similar treatment, and the Altroz EV will be based on the regular Altroz seen on the road. However, minor changes are possible.

2. Renault K-ZE Electric car

On Indian roads, the Renault Kwid is a household name. This compact car, somehow, is performing well in its segment. Thus, Renault wishes to bring a compact electronic car to India.

The K-ZE EV is already on the market in China.  It is released in the international market as well. Renault announced intention to introduce this car to India within the “next two years” in 2020. As a result, we can anticipate the K-ZE EV arriving in India soon.
The Renault K-ZE EV’s global variant has a 26.8kWh battery system, 44hp, and 125 Nm of torque.

3. Hyundai Ioniq 5

The Ioniq 5 is a premium electric vehicle from the South Korean automaker. The vehicle is already doing well in international markets.
The new electric SUC can arrive to India as a fully assembled unit. However, it might unfortunately raise the retail price in the country.

Hyundai’s Electric Global Modular Architecture (E-GMP) platform serves as the foundation for the Ioniq 5. The car is sold internationally with two battery packs: 58kWh and 72.6kWh. Somehow, this corresponds to a range of 385km and 481km, respectively.

4. Tata Punch EV

The Tata Punch EV is the most anticipated and hyped electric vehicle in India. The car will be a compact city car. The car might be less expensive, therefore, is getting all the hype from people.

Potential buyers believe that the car will use the Ziptron EV powertrain technology, which we have already seen on the Nexon EV. This compact SUV may be powered by a 30.2kWh lithium-ion battery pack and a 129bhp electric motor.
