Facebook launches two new devices for video chat

Facebook revealed its new video-calling devices that will help users to connect with their families and friends easily.

The new Portal and Portal+ are made to calls and video chats have 10 inch with a resolution of 1280 x 800 screen display. Both devices are supported by AI with Portal’s Smart Camera and Smart Sound that improves user’s voice even if they are moving. The Portal has an Amazon Alexa built-in that can be accessed through voice command. The devices also have buttons that will turn on and off the camera and microphone which has the capacity to enter up to 12 digit passcode. The company confirmed that they have partnered with Spotify Premium, Pandora, iHeartRadio, Facebook Watch, Food Network, and Newsy. The features have Story Time that can be used by kids in bedtime stories and Superframe which displays images, videos, contacts, and reminders.

The Portal and Portal+ are now available exclusively in the US. The price of the Portal starts with $199 while the Portal+ starts with $349 from the company’s portal website, Amazon, and BestBuy.
