Facebook limits audiences of weapons, ammunition, and explosives ads

Facebook’s new policy will prohibit the number of audiences that may view particular ads promoting weapons, ammunition, and explosives.

The advertisers of the said ads should have to select audiences of legal age which is 18 and above. This new policy will prevent violence specifically to the other countries that focus on gun violence similar in the US which has a number of shooting incidents in selected schools.

According to Facebook’s Policies, the addition of the company on their advertising policy is the ads must not give publicity to sell products especially weapons, ammunition, and explosives. The company gave examples of do’s and don’ts to its new policy.

Facebook has announced the new policy will be implemented by June 21 and all advertisers are required to restrict their audiences when promoting their product on its advertisement plans.
