The internet giant’s messaging app, Google Chat, has released a new feature that aims to improve user experience by making it easier for users to recognize essential chats. With the addition of participant avatars for unseen threads in the conversation view, the feature attempts to provide users important context up front so they don’t have to go through messages one by one.

Context:

Google Chat was released to replace Google Hangouts and included text messaging and video calling features. The platform has been continuously developed to enhance its functionality and features; lately, the organization and prioritizing of conversations have been improved.
