According to a new report by Bloomberg, Google is assisting tech entrepreneur Michael Sayman in developing a social gaming startup called Arcade. Users can register their accounts using their phone numbers and won’t be tied-in to other social media accounts.
The founder and co-owner of the project, Sayman, started as an intern at Facebook at 17 and left the company for Alphabet just last year. A spokesperson for Google told Bloomberg about how the firm is “focused on mobile gaming with friends,” but did not elaborate or specify further on their games. Arcade’s debut app is set to release this summer, and will reportedly have trivia game elements included.
