Google released a smart new app for users to help them limit, control, save and monitor their mobile data usage.

The app can save up to 30% mobile data through selecting a particular app that users want to control or limit its data usage and help them to see the actual data-usage, and block apps that will need to use data or if it is out of control. The users can also learn the history of the usage of their mobile data along with the trends over time and per-app data usage. The app helps the user save more data by giving an option of finding Wifi nearby to surf more. It will actually give a map for the Wifi connection.

Users will need to download the app through the Google Play Store for free and accept the guidelines that include the Location for the Wifi-Finder, SMS to check the balance left of user’s carrier and Virtual Private Network for the security and prevent unwanted data usage.

Google will also release new features for the app that will be available in selected markets. It includes balance checking and balance expiration reminders and proactive data usage warnings and controls.
