Google released a new update to its Phone app that can help users to prevent spam and receiving a notification.

The users need to send their information about the call to Google before they can access the ID and spam protection. The users can see the information of the callers or businesses that has not been saved in the user’s phone or even a warning about a spam caller. They need to open the Phone app, select Settings about Caller ID & spam, and turn on or off if the users want to access it. They also have an option if they want to stop spam calls from ringing or notifying their phone. When they turn on the option “Filter suspected spam calls” the callers cannot reach the user because they will direct to voicemail. The user will not receive any calls from suspected spam calls but they can check if they have notification of their call history or voicemails.

The users also have the option if they want to block or report spam calls by selecting a number of their recent calls.

The company advised the users to contact the admin if they want to change their information. This update is available on Android 6.0 and above.
