Google has just released an AI-powered scavenger hunt game you can play on your phone. Using machine learning, the company develops a fun game that lets you use your phone’s other features.
The game will show you an emoji and under a time limit, you have to find a matching item using your phone’s camera and each matched emoji will extend your time. The game’s object recognition can be a bit faulty, failing to identify some items that match the given emoji, while also mistaking different items to match other emoji.
It’s a good, fun way to showcase their progress in AI tech, but the game is also likely to promote Google’s I/O developer conference happening this week.
