Huawei has decided to launch its brand new electric car Huawei AITO M7.  Huawei already had launched its first electric car in 2021 in China under its AITO sub-brand. Now with the AITO M5 EV, Huawei has given a message to the world that it is going to play a major role in the EV world.

One can say there was interest shown by the people with some decent sales to see from the shipment data of AITO M5 EV, and that does boost the confidence of Huawei to make further inroads in the EV market. A new listing revealed on China’s MIIT database ( via IT Home ) has revealed that Huawei is looking serious with its ambition for its next generation electric vehicles.  The listing doesn’t reveal the complete info of the product however it does look like ‘AITO M7’. This makes things pretty clear that the next Huawei electric vehicle is to be launched under the AITO sub-brand.

If you look at the features, the listing reveals that the Huawei AITO M7 EV is a medium-sized 6-seater hybrid electric SUV which is slightly bigger than the previous model AITO M5. The looks of exterior design, the AITO M7 is very similar to the older model AITO M5. It has the same large air ventilation grille on the frontal bumper, a sleek and straight roofline, aerodynamic translucent headlights, etc.

The Electric Vehicle gets 5-spoke and 10-spoke wheel options, which also include optional upgrades like chrome greyish translucent tinted windows, or ink-black translucent tinted windows. If u pay attention the AITO M7 has a minor design difference, it seems that the EV on the AITO M5 doesn’t have the Huawei Zhixuan logo. The photo uploaded on the listing did not reveal the image of the vehicle from all angles, but it is believed that Huawei may have transferred the logo on the car somewhere.

Huawei AITO M7 Power and Specifications:

The AITO M7 will be powered by an electric hybrid automobile 1.5T range extender + motor combo to power the engine. The rated power/peak power of the electric drive motor is listed as 72kW/200kW. Maximum net engine power is listed at 90kW and fuel consumption is 1.05L/100km.

Huawei started delivering the AITO M5 started recently in March 2022, so it is expected that the AITO M7 delivery will be delayed, so that there is no conflict with the sales of AITO M5. As far as dimensions are concerned, Huawei AITO M7 measures 5020 mm in length, 1945 mm in width, 1775 mm in height and 2340 kg in weight.
