Instagram added three new features to maintain the safety of the app and its community with a one billion users.
The first Instagram’s new tool, “About This Account” tool will let all users find more information about a specific account on the app that have many followers such as the date the account was made, the country of the account, ads that they’re currently working in one place, their former usernames, and accounts with shared followers. A second tool is the verification of requests which will be reviewed and will be notified if their account was verified or not qualified based on the Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. The user will have to select the Settings and click the Request Verification option. Most of the accounts that are verified are artists, public figure, brands or entity. The last tool is for the support of third-party authenticator apps which helps users to log-in their account easier and safe.
Instagram confirmed in a blog post that the new tools will be launched in the coming week globally.
