A seemingly never-ending legal battle between two tech giants has resulted in Google suing Sonos (again) for patent infringement. Additionally it charges with “technology devised by Google,” and choosing which person from a group should respond to the keyword.

The Northern District of California’s U.S. District Court received both of these lawsuits, according to a report from Bloomberg Law. However, according to the report, Google claims that seven patents are ignored by Sonos products including the One, Move, and Roam.

What google official, Castaeda has to say?

“Sonos has chosen to compete in the courtroom at the expense of our mutual customers. It chooses to do so rather than competing on the basis of innovation and product quality. We would rather innovate than sue, but in light of their conduct, we will have no alternative. We can also defend our technology and fight Sonos’s blatant, ongoing infringement of our patents, said José Castaeda.

Also the search engine giant also intended to file these complaints with the US ITC in the near future. If any product violate the aforementioned patents, the corporation will seek the commission to forbid their importation.

The lawsuit document focuses on the currently delivered Sonos voice assistant. It announces that Google has patents for “allowing voice assistant era. It also imparts enhancements to the efficiency, reliability, and sturdiness of voice-managed and battery-powered devices. However, Sonos is using them with out its permission.
