Rohit Nadhani, Founder and CEO of CloudMagic Inc., announced in a blog post that the shutting down of Newton app by September 18th.
Nadhani give a big thanks to all the users, estimated over 4 million users for using the app. He also included the re-launched of the app in 2016 with over 40,000 paid subscribers signed up and said to be their loyal users to them. The business decision they’ve made is very tough because they can’t figure out its profitability and growth for a long term goal. Their competitors including Google, Microsoft, and Apple have its free mail apps with high qualities that put them in a hard fight.
Nadhani last message to all users “To our users, we sincerely thank you. You are the reason we worked tirelessly to create the best email experience. To the press, critics and partners, we are eternally grateful for all the support and valuable feedback that has helped us improve Newton over these years. We hope to cross paths again in the future.”
The company will continue to work with their team on their upcoming projects.
