Nissan is shifting its focus even further towards sustainable energy as they have recently announced the launch of Nissan Energy Solar, a solar energy all-in-one scheme for homes. Their release follows Tesla’s own solar panels and Powerwalls selling at home goods stores in the US.
In a press release on their website, the solution claims to “combine solar generation with an energy storage system for UK householders” and can “save up to 66%” on energy bills. For now, the Nissan Energy Solar will be exclusive to customers in the UK. Nissan’s Electric Vehicle Director Gareth Dunsmore made the announcement, saying “Nissan Energy Solar is a complete system for home energy generation, management and storage. It enables UK homeowners to make significant savings on their household electricity bills, and become champions of sustainability and green technology,”
