OnePlus, one of the famous and reputed smartphone brands known best for providing premium flagship phones may now limit the bodily alert slider to only the OnePlus Pro models and Oppo Flagships.
For those who are not aware or familiar with the alert slider, sitting on the upper left edge of the phone, it basically allows you to change the sound profile of the phone as silent, vibrate or ring without unlocking the phone.
As per speculations, the company is in talks to remove the alert slider and limit it only to its flagship model phones. Also, the upcoming OnePlus Nord 2T is also the last mid-range phone to be released with an alert slider. (sighs!)
Going forwards, the alert slider will be seen only on OnePlus Pro model phones and certain Oppo Flagships. For all the OnePlus fanatics and lovers this is a huge heart breaker. Also, one of the future launches- OnePlus 10T is also said to launch without the alert slider. Although, some solid confirmation on this piece of news is still awaited from OnePlus.
