The Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Vivo X100 Pro, and Galaxy S24 Ultra are all priced considerably higher than the new Find X7 Ultra, which offers everything it has to offer in comparison.

Build

The camera module and the vegan leather that covers half of the back side of the Find X7 Ultra are its most striking design elements. The half-glass body is beautifully complemented by the blue tint. Rather than a titanium frame, the phone is made of aluminium. You can see the 6.82-inch display on the front side, which is shielded by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Additionally, the phone is certified IP68. It comes with a VIP mode in addition to the Ring and Silent settings. The camera, microphones, and location are all blocked in this mode.

Display

The 6.82-inch LTPO OLED panel of the Oppo Find X7 Ultra is a top-tier display. The display’s pixel density is 510 pixels per inch (ppi), and its resolution is 1440×3168 pixels with an aspect ratio of either 19.8:9 or 2.2:1. The display’s variable refresh rate, which can be set from a minimum of 1Hz to a maximum of 120Hz, enables fluid images and economical power usage.

Even in bright outdoor circumstances, the display’s peak brightness in HDR scenarios may reach 4,500 nits, ensuring exceptional visibility. When it comes to HDR compatibility, the Find X7 Ultra meets HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision standards, guaranteeing a broad color gamut and excellent contrast ratio for a captivating watching experience.

OS

Preloaded on the Oppo Find X7 Ultra is ColorOS 14, a Chinese overlay built on top of Android 14.

Performance

The Oppo Find X7 Ultra is equipped with the most recent Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the top processor that was introduced in 2024 and is also present in many other high-end smartphones.

Accompanying the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is the Adreno 750 GPU, which offers sufficient graphical processing capacity to effortlessly manage even the most graphically demanding games and multimedia files.

Three memory combinations for the Find X7 Ultra are offered: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, 16GB RAM with 256GB storage, and 16GB RAM with 512GB storage. Like other ColorOS smartphones, the Find X7 Ultra has a high-performance mode that, when necessary, unlocks all of the device’s capabilities.

Camera

The device has an amazing quad camera arrangement with four 50MP sensors on the back. With a 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, 23mm focal length, and optical image stabilization (OIS) to lessen blur from camera shake, the primary camera is outfitted with these features.

Using a Sony LYT-600 sensor with a 14mm focal length and an f/2.0 aperture, the ultra-wide camera provides a larger field of vision. Macro photography is possible with this camera because it can focus on objects as near as 4 cm (1.6 inches).

With its two periscope lenses, the Find X7 Ultra can zoom. Featuring a 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX890 sensor, f/2.6 aperture, OIS, and 65mm focal length, the first one has a 3X optical zoom system. A 1/2.51-inch Sony IMX858 sensor, an f/4.3 aperture, a 135mm equivalent focal length, and OIS are also features of the second periscope lens, which offers 6X optical zoom.

Oppo and famous camera manufacturer Hasselblad collaborated to develop the HyperTone Image Engine. In addition to a number of photo filters and a Hasselblad Master Mode that let users shoot in RAW format and manually modify exposure compensation, ISO, shutter speed, focus, and white balance, the device also has a Hasselblad Portrait Mode for bokeh effects.

The telephoto lenses with zoom capabilities of 2x, 3x, and 6x likewise produce outstanding images with minimal sharpness and superb noise-free detail. The front-facing camera can also take very good selfies, with vibrant colors, natural skin tones, and a decent dynamic range. However, Oppo still saves selfies at 32MP quality, which might not be necessary given the amount of detail that can be captured.

Battery

For a flagship handset, the Oppo Find X7 Ultra’s 5,000mAh battery offers respectable battery life. When used in real life, the Find X7 Ultra can run smoothly for a full day on a single battery. The phone comes with a 100W SuperVOOC charger that can charge it from 0% to 100% in around 24 to 27 minutes, so it can be quickly topped off when needed. Furthermore, when paired with Oppo’s exclusive wireless charging pads, the Find X7 Ultra can accommodate up to 50W of wireless power.
