Ricoh Imaging is planning to launch its new “star lens” that will offer brightness throughout the zoom and an ultra wide-angle high performance.
The new Ricoh Imaging HD PENTAX-DA lens has a focal length of 11 up to 18mm which is equivalent to a 17 to 27.5mm in 35mm format. The open aperture has F 2.8 with a minimum aperture of f22. The new HD PENTAX-DA lens will have 104-degree to 76-degree field angle in diagonal when it has PENTAX-C size single lens reflex camera is installed. The new lens will include dustproof and drip-proof features with a security and about -10 ℃ cold operation guarantee. Other features are DC motor that autofocus with quiet and smooth operation, adopting nine circular stops that give soft blurring, “Quick-Shift Focus System with manual focusing, and an adopt dirt-resistant Super Protect (SP) coating on the front of the lens.
The HD PENTAX-DA lens is now available for pre-orders with a starting price of $1632.07 (¥180,900). The company confirmed that the new lens will release on Friday (February 22).
