Snapchat expands its “Our Story” content with media partners

Snapchat extended its Our Story feature to some media companies that can be personalized and add text or graphics to their video.

According to Deadline, the 20 media companies including CNN and NBC News will share their video on its Stories with their own set of tools. Media partners easily create their stories from Snapchatter’s first-hand accounts. Deadline reported that Snapchat will let their media partners to source publicly submitted clips and images Snaps, and lend them to edit its context to complete an Our Story.

Based on the statement of Ben Lerer, CEO of Group Nine Media, the new curation tool will give those opportunities to lean even more heavily into what they do best. Lerer added “-being part of the conversation and telling authentic stories that resonate deeply with young people,”

The media networks have an access to embed their Out Story on websites and social channels.
