Twitter and Facebook announced the additional information in political campaign ads for the incoming elections in the US.

Facebook will have the label “Paid for by” to ensure that the advertisement was paid and the exact amount of money they’ve spent. While on Twitter, it has a label “Promoted (political)” to know the candidate’s authorization for the ad and it includes an option of “learn more” where the subscribers can identify and contact the ad buyer. Twitter will verify all the ads for the assurance that advertisers are in the US because the company will not allow foreigners to target the political ads.

The new version of Twitter “Ads transparency Center” doesn’t give information of the launch. Facebook still plans for the improvement of its transparency in campaign ads.
