Twitter posted an announcement about the new feature that will help users to visit a profile without exiting their newsfeed.

Twitter is currently examining a feature that is showing a profile preview of a specific account. The new feature will pop-up from the bottom of the screen when a subscriber clicks the username. The pop-up profile includes the user’s profile picture, short description or information, numbers of followers and following, and follow button. The new update has a “Go to full profile” button that will automatically exit at the timeline then proceed to the profile. Users will easy drop-down the pop-up feature when they have finished viewing the short profile of another user.
Twitter revealed that they are testing the new profile feature on iOS devices. The company has not yet confirmed the availability of the feature on Android devices and the official launch date.
