Uber Eats changes its delivery fees according on distance

Uber Eats announced the update about its new food delivery fees depending on the distance of customer to a specific restaurant.

Uber Eats is the food delivery service of Uber which has hundreds of restaurants partners since 2014 in Los Angeles, California and have been launched in Toronto, Canada last 2015. Uber Eats has branches globally, including 35 countries with more than 293 cities.

The previous delivery fee of Uber Eats service costs $4.99 per order and it is applicable in all branches of restaurants. Customers can order how much or how many they want without a limitation, but the booking charged is still the same. According to CNET, the delivery fee of the app has been changed according to its distance.

The company confirmed that the price range of the booking fee is when the distance of the customer is near at the restaurant, the fee is cheaper with a minimum of $3. When the restaurant is far from the customer’s place, the fee will be expensive from $5 and above.
