Valve’s next generation VR headset will launch soon

The upcoming Valve’s VR headset has been posted by Wario64, a Twitter user with its release date and specs.

The new Valve Index headset will run with Windows and include a dual-core with Hyper-threading feature up to quad -core+. The storage will have 8GB of RAM. The graphics of the Valve Index headset has a minimum of NVIDIA 970 and a maximum of NVIDIA 1070 or latest version. The new VR headset required a DisplayPort version 2.1 and USB 2.0+ port. The company is recommending USB 3.0+ port for Headset Pass-Through camera and supported with a USB port. The device will also include integrated headphones, tether with DisplayPort 1.2 and USB 3.0 connections, power adapter, regionalized power adapter plug, narrow and wide two face gaskets, and cleaning cloth.

The company is expected to introduce the upgraded VR headset on May 2019 and will start shipping on June 15th.
