Verizon will launch the upcoming 5G broadband service in four cities this year with a free access to Google’s YouTube TV or a free Apple TV box.
According to Bloomberg, Verizon confirmed that the 5G is provided for customers that will offer live NFL and NBA games. It will also include news programs through company’s Oath media division. The service will release in Los Angeles, Houston and Sacramento, California, and Indianapolis. The two giants for video content will be an advantage to other competitors such as AT&T Inc. and Comcast Corp. YouTube TV will provide more than 60 channels of live television with a fee of $40 per month while the Apple TV will be the portal for living-room access to video programming.
The company has not yet confirmed the price for the new wireless service and its further information.
