The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) and Walmart Global Tech (WGT) have teamed up to create the Walmart Center for Tech Excellence. This collaborative initiative aims to help micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the manufacturing and retail sectors by leveraging cutting-edge technology.

The primary focus of the center is to develop an open-sourced platform that will provide engineering analytics solutions. These solutions will be widely accessible, empowering MSMEs to improve their operational efficiency and profitability. The center aims to bridge the gap between technology and businesses, helping MSMEs thrive in today’s competitive landscape.

To accelerate the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the center will create a repository of case studies specifically for the manufacturing and retail industries.
