WhatsApp for Android is working on a new feature that will allow users to add and filter their favorite chats for easier access. This feature is presently in development and is being rolled out to testers who have signed up via the Google Play Beta Program.

New Feature

The “Favorites” chat filter feature aims to improve chat and make important conversations more accessible. Here’s how it works:

Filtering Chats

Users can segregate their favorite chats using the new filter. This feature will be helpful for those who receive messages from various contacts and struggle to find their regular conversations.

Adding to Favourites

Users can manually add contacts to their favorites list by clicking the “Add to Favourites” option. This allows them to prioritize specific people and groups across WhatsApp.

Customization

Users can also remove and reorder chats within their favorites list according to their preferences.
