WhatsApp has come up with new updates where one will be able to hide Last Seen, Profile Photo and about info from selected contacts, this feature is currently available for those using WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.9.

The WhatsApp users with the new beta update can access this feature by simply navigating through these options Settings > Account > Privacy. Under the privacy section, this new feature is available for the user’s last seen, profile photo and about information.

Earlier users were presented with only three options: Everyone, My Contacts, and Nobody. After the new update the new option that specifies “My Contacts except…” allows users to add contacts to the list. So now the selected contacts added to this particular list will not be able to see the user’s last seen info.

The feature was rolled out to beta testers on April 16 and soo it will be rolled out to more devices.

WhatsApp recently had announced that it would be rolling out a Community tab feature and these new privacy settings will be really helpful for the users.

Though, the selected contact i the list will still be able to see the ‘Online’ indicator after your profile name in the conversation even if you have selected to hide from contact. The Last seen hide feature will not hide your Active Status.

The WhatsApp Android Beta version already includes this My Contacts Expect option in privacy settings and now it has also rolled out to iOS.
